After meeting Kristin and Julio in Central Park for their engagement shoot we just knew the wedding would be something special. When the day arrived we were so excited to learn more about this adorable couple. We jumped in the car, traveled to the Manhattan, parked the car and then split to our getting ready locations. Rebeca headed downtown to meet Kristin in Chelsea for her bridal prep photos and Andrew headed to midtown to the historic Plaza Hotel to meet Julio to get him ready for the big day.
Kristin got ready and got into the celebratory mood with her girls at her place and on the roof deck overlooking the Manhattan skyline. After a touching first-look with her father they all boarded the bus and headed up to Washington Heights to meet Julio at the church. After spending some time with Julio and his father we were met by ten other groomsmen that were there to see Julio through his wedding day. We all headed to the front of the Plaza Hotel for portraits and some classic father son moments. We did a brief walk for some photos through Grand Army Plaza before loading the bus to head uptown to Julio’s historic family built St. Anargyoi Greek Orthodox Church, in Washington Heights New York NY.
Kristin and her bridesmaids got out of the bus, walked down Broadway and made their way into the church. Walked in by her father she saw Julio for the first time waiting for her at the end of the aisle. Once the ceremony got started we really enjoyed the Greek Orthodox tradition. The stories, the crowns, the rings and the family history in the building of the church was truly a story to be captured. After the ceremony commenced we loaded up our cars and made our way up to Westchester to Glen Island Harbor Club in New Rochelle, New York for the reception.
When we all arrived we got right into the bridal party photos in front of the stunning venue. After having some laughs and a big photo along the water we took our bride and groom to nearby Glen Island Park to take some portraits along the waterfront, the docks and the castle. Kristin and Julio looked absolutely perfect and totally in love. The afternoon glow for their sunset photos was the perfect end to the perfect day.
We all headed into the venue for a night of celebration, family, love and some amazing traditional greek dancing. It was truly a great party and an incredible experience for us to be part of. Congratulations to this beautiful couple.
